Job summary

Nordson PPS is seeking an experienced field service professional to install, start up, troubleshoot, and maintain extrusion-related equipment at customer sites worldwide. You will travel domestically and internationally, reviewing drawings and equipment configurations to meet customer expectations.

You will train customers, diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues, and document service findings in our CRM.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two-year technical degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
• Five or more years of experience supporting plastics extrusion, polymer processing, pelletizing, filtration, tooling, or related field service.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues in industrial environments.
• Experience with extrusion tooling, die maintenance, screen changers, melt pumps, valves, pelletizers, cleaning systems, or related Nordson PPS equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with CRM or service management systems such as C4C or Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Travel domestically and internationally to serve as Nordson's primary technical representative at customer sites.
• Review projects before travel to understand drawings, equipment configuration, and customer expectations.
• Prepare tools, equipment, and safety items needed for service assignments.
• Provide installation support, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance for PPS equipment.
• Train customer personnel on safe operation, startup, shutdown, and best practices.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control issues.
• Complete service reports documenting work performed and follow-up actions.
• Collect installed base data and customer feedback in the CRM or service system.
• Provide technical support to customers by phone, email, or Teams.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, and Aftermarket to resolve issues.
• Prepare field service quotations and recommend scope, parts, upgrades, and opportunities.
