Job summary

GE HealthCare seeks an experienced Field Engineer 3 (FE3) to support its Patient Care Solutions business in Southern Wisconsin, with the Madison area preferred. The FE3 will install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and optimize complex medical equipment at customer sites, serving as a technical resource and customer advocate.

The ideal candidate has strong field service experience in the medical equipment industry, advanced troubleshooting skills, and the ability to mentor less experienced

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Electrical, Biomedical, Mechanical Engineering or related field with 4+ years of experience servicing electrical equipment.
• Equivalent military education plus 4+ years of experience servicing electrical equipment.
• High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of experience servicing electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair on assigned equipment.
• May also perform installation, validation and maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Lead, instruct, and assist less experienced Field Engineers and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
• Lead communications with customers and serve as escalation point for customer-related concerns including installs.
• Own customer issues from dispatch to resolution and coordinate with teams to ensure status is known.
• Lead and communicate HQ and Zone or Area-level initiatives.
• Co-lead regular team or modality meetings as required.
• Partner with the customer and recommend value-added services to improve efficiency.
• Maintain customer service logs and internal service records, order repair parts, and manage cycle times.
• Utilize escalation processes and coordinate with regional support to resolve issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively with teammates and act as a member of the account community for key accounts.
