Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Field Service Engineer III for a remote role based in Maryland. You will install, maintain, and repair advanced laboratory automation equipment and scheduling software, traveling up to 75% across the region (VA, NJ, PA).

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in electronics/engineering with strong diagnostics, customer relations, and the ability to work independently while ensuring safety and compliance in cleanroom environments.

Qualifications

Experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating sophisticated mechanics.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documentation, schematics, and engineering drawings.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities across hardware, software, and networking issues.

Responsibilities

Provide expert installation, maintenance, and repair services for laboratory automation equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems.
Train users to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
