Job summary

Accelevation is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead on-site safety for large or complex projects. You will ensure compliance with safety programs and regulatory requirements while managing risk and driving proactive safety performance.

You will serve as the primary on-site safety leader and client-facing representative, coordinating safety staff, planning high-risk work, and delivering project-specific safety plans.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of construction-related experience.
• 5–7 years of safety-specific experience within construction or industrial environments.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in safety management or related field (Preferred).
• Extensive working knowledge of OSHA construction standards.
• CHST certification from BCSP (Required; may be obtained within one year of hire).
• CSP or ASP certification from BCSP (Preferred).
• Industry-specific OSHA training (Preferred).
• Quality Control / Quality Assurance experience (Preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership capability within field safety operations.
• Experience mentoring or supervising safety staff (Preferred).
• Strong organizational skills with proficiency in safety documentation and reporting systems.
• Effective communicator with ability to professionally escalate safety concerns.
• Strong client-facing communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with mobile applications, computers, and standard office software.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to meet company driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead project-based safety execution for large or complex projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety programs and regulations.
• Serve as on-site safety leader and client-facing representative.
• Coordinate daily activities of safety staff.
• Support preconstruction meetings and high-risk work planning.
• Develop and maintain project-specific safety plans and procedures.
• Lead incident and injury investigations and corrective actions.
• Coordinate regulatory inspections, audits, and site visits.
• Mentor and develop safety staff; communicate safety performance to leadership.
• Deliver safety training and engagement activities.
• Maintain documentation and reporting through approved systems.
