Job summary

Next 150 Construction Services, LLC is seeking a Safety Manager to lead all safety efforts on a large-scale construction project. The role is primarily based on the jobsite with occasional travel to the office for meetings and training.

You will ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, oversee on-site safety personnel, and mentor direct reports while fostering a positive safety culture across the team.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of construction safety and health principles, regulations, and interpretations.
• Ability to identify current and future exposures and recommend corrective action.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Developing management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports all safety efforts on the project and promotes Gilbane safety culture.
• Preplans contractor activities for safety through scope review and preconstruction meetings.
• Ensures contractor compliance with safety plans and submittals.
• Maintains safety-related documentation and metrics.
• Investigates accidents/near misses and completes required paperwork.
• Provides safety training to project teams on Gilbane, client, and OSHA requirements.
• Coaches project team in hazard identification and issue correction using SafetyNet.
• Leads SafetyNet inspections and analyzes trends with the project team.

BCSP credential
