Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer II for the Robotics Delivery & Packaging Innovations (RDPI) Tech Deployment team within Amazon Robotics. You will oversee end-to-end deployment of large-scale automation across North America stores, coordinating with hardware engineers, program managers, product teams, and field operations to deliver safe, high-quality installations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or an equivalent STEM field.
5+ years troubleshooting robotics or other complex mechanical-electrical or networked systems to resolve escalations.
5+ years deploying large-scale industrial robotics.
5+ years using project management and supply management tools including managing Bills of Material, deployment work instructions, and project task management.
3+ years in construction, manufacturing, warehouse, or similar environment.
Able to travel domestically 75%+ of the year.

Responsibilities

Manage the tactical deployment of large-scale industrial automation technologies, ranging in technical complexity and product maturity from early alpha/beta to GA.
Own the tactical execution (onsite coordination of installation and acceptance testing) to achieve the target go-live date for each project.
Collaborate with hardware engineering, TPMs, product managers, and internal customers to translate technical requirements into deployment documents (schedules, SOPs, dependencies).
Improve operational metrics and team processes through automation and optimization.
Independently resolve difficult technical problems during deployment, balancing time, quality, and resources.
Create and improve standard work documents and operational guides, pursuing automation or process improvements.
Influence internal and partner teams toward meeting goals.
Develop subject matter expertise in deployment domains; mentor junior engineers; participate in technical assessments.
Drive operational excellence initiatives with measurable results.
