Job summary

Amazon’s Robotics Delivery & Packaging Innovations (RDPI) Technology Deployment team seeks a Systems Engineer I to oversee installation of robotics equipment across NA fulfillment centers. You will work with 1-5 engineers, coordinate with an on-site PM, and travel to project sites to ensure timely deployment and stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals.
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems; strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with technical drawings and reading CAD models.

Responsibilities

• Relocation to Amazon Corporate offices in Seattle, Boston, or Austin will be required for the role.
• As an Systems Engineer I, you will work with a team of 1-5 engineers and collaborate with an on-site project manager to provide technical oversight on the installation of robotics equipment.
• You will support and guide installation of robotics, packaging and sortation technologies at Amazon fulfillment centers.
• You will develop knowledge of robotic systems and guide installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting on site and remotely.
• You will manage technical ambiguity around integration of work cells in fulfillment centers.
• You will collaborate with hardware engineering, program managers, product managers, and internal customers including site maintenance and operations teams.
• You will travel to project sites and collaborate both virtually and in person to ensure alignment on program status.
• You will manage day-to-day project scheduling and budget management.
• You will work on continuous improvement ideas around work-scopes and lead teams of other engineers.
