Job summary

SunPower Corporation is seeking a Senior Field Manager of Quality Assurance to lead strategic quality initiatives across field operations, installations, and service delivery at our Orem, UT location. You will drive 100% FPY and Zero Defects while guiding lean six sigma and RCCA/8D processes, training teams, and partnering with engineering and installation partners to uphold SunPower standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 7–10 years in Quality Engineering, Field Operations, Solar or Semiconductor industries.
• Experience with solar energy systems and battery storage.
• Understanding of UL, NEC, IEC standards and electrical codes.
• ASQ certifications preferred (CQA, CQE).

Responsibilities

• Lead development and deployment of FPY and Zero Defects across field operations.
• Champion ANDON CORD, RCCA/8D, FMEA and continuous improvement methods.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Partners to reduce field defects and rework.
• Develop and monitor quality metrics: FPY, defect rates, customer satisfaction.
• Travel to field locations to coach teams and conduct quality audits.
