Job summary

Lucid Motors in Arizona is seeking a Senior Field Quality Engineer, Software Integration to lead software-field issues across contracted fleet vehicles, coordinating with software and systems teams to ensure reliability.

You will drive RCA, validate fixes, and orchestrate deployments, aiming to improve issue detection, reduce recurrence, and strengthen fleet uptime in a software-defined vehicle ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software quality engineering, software integration, field quality, systems engineering, vehicle integration, software validation, product quality, or a related technical discipline.
• BS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience investigating software-related issues in production environments and driving root cause resolution across cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of embedded software systems, vehicle networks, cloud-connected services, diagnostics, and software deployment processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into customer-reported software concerns impacting contracted fleet vehicles, including vehicle functionality, connectivity, diagnostics, UIs, system interactions, performance degradation, and feature execution.
• Drive structured root cause investigations involving vehicle software, cloud services, embedded controllers, system interfaces, diagnostics, telematics platforms, APIs, and fleet-management applications; validate corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
• Evaluate interactions among vehicle systems, software modules, hardware components, cloud infrastructure, mobile apps, and third-party integrations to identify software integration failures and risks.
• Analyze fleet telemetry, software health metrics, diagnostic trouble codes, system logs, vehicle events, OTA installation data, and customer feedback to identify emerging software quality concerns.
• Partner with Software Engineering and Program teams to assess software-release readiness, quality risk, deployment strategy, rollback plans, and validation evidence.
• Coordinate vehicle testing, data collection, log analysis, simulation activities, software debugging, and issue reproduction to verify root causes and confirm corrective action effectiveness.
• Support escalation of critical software issues affecting fleet operations, provide technical assessments and remediation plans.
