Job summary

Lucid Motors in Phoenix, AZ, seeks a Sr. Technical Quality Engineering Specialist (Advanced Vehicle Electronics) to assure quality before Start of Production and throughout development, validation, and production.

You will embed quality discipline, lead investigations, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve issues early. You will ensure critical electronics designs meet quality targets, participate in cross-functional reviews, and drive robust process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of automotive quality or engineering experience.
• Experience supporting advanced vehicle electronics, including ECUs, sensors, wiring harnesses, connectors, displays, control modules, low-voltage power distribution, and related electrical/electronic vehicle systems.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and tolerance analysis.
• Hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and core quality tools.
• Prototype, DV, and PV build support experience.
• Proven root cause and issue-closure capability.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform the essential duties of the position, including understanding work instructions, safety procedures, and job-related communications.

Responsibilities

• Early Engineering & DFM: Evaluate components for manufacturability; provide input during concept to design-freeze phases.
• Quality Tools & Engineering Analysis: Apply APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC and lead DFMEA/PFMEA reviews.
• Root Cause & Issue Closure: Lead cross-functional investigations and drive corrective actions.
• GD&T & Dimensional Engineering: Interpret drawings and perform tolerance analysis with engineering teams.
• Prototype, DV & PV Build Support: Provide on-site quality support across build phases.
