Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in automotive engineering, quality engineering, reliability engineering, manufacturing engineering, supplier quality, field quality, or a related technical discipline.
• BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, Manufacturing, or related field.
• Experience leading structured root cause investigations and corrective action development for product or process quality concerns.
• Working knowledge of electrical harness assemblies, connectors, terminals, routing systems, vehicle electrical distribution architectures, and/or fluid delivery systems such as cooling, pneumatics, HVAC, hoses, and tubing.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform the essential duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end field investigations for harnesses, connectors, terminals, routing systems, hoses, tubing, and related components.
• Drive permanent corrective and preventive actions addressing root causes, incl. containment and design/manufacturing changes.
• Monitor warranty claims, service data, parts returns, and field reports to identify trends and advise on actions.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to apply field learnings to current and future programs; participate in DFMEA updates and engineering changes.
• Evaluate assembly processes and controls and align with Manufacturing Engineering on sustainable improvements.
• Coordinate with supplier quality and supplier engineering to validate root causes and corrective actions.
• Assess severity and customer impact to provide data-based recommendations for containment and escalation.
