Job summary

Lucid Motors in Coolidge, AZ is seeking a Senior Field Quality Engineer, External Components, to own exterior component field investigations, drive root cause analysis, and validate corrective actions. You will work with engineering, manufacturing, supplier quality, service, and warranty teams to improve warranty performance, reduce repeat issues, and translate field learnings into design changes.

This fully onsite role requires 5+ years in automotive quality and a technical degree.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in automotive engineering, quality engineering, field quality, supplier quality, reliability or related technical discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Experience conducting structured root cause investigations and leading corrective action development.
• Knowledge of exterior automotive systems such as closures, trim, lighting, glazing, sealing, and appearance features.
• English fluency for communication and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical investigations for exterior component concerns and determine root cause using multiple data sources.
• Own containment, corrective action development, validation plans, and effectiveness checks.
• Analyze warranty, service data, and field reports to identify risks and prioritize actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supplier quality, service, and warranty teams.
• Translate field learnings into product improvements through DFMEA and design review inputs.
