Job summary

Lucid Motors in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Staff Field Quality Engineer for Powertrain to lead complex field issues, define root‑cause analyses, and drive permanent corrective actions across engineering and manufacturing. Qualifications

• 8+ years in battery‑electric vehicle powertrain engineering, field quality or related disciplines.
• BS degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Automotive/Mechatronics/Systems Engineering or related field.
• Experience using objective evidence and vehicle data to resolve EV powertrain issues.
• Experience leading cross‑functional investigations and implementing corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex field quality investigations for electric powertrain systems with validated root causes.
• Govern root-cause analysis standards and determine closure readiness of actions.
• Define and drive permanent corrective actions across design, software, manufacturing, and service.
• Use diagnostics, telematics, and vehicle data to identify fleet risks and escalation priorities.
• Create validation plans with acceptance criteria and testing conditions to reduce recurrence.
• Lead cross‑functional technical reviews to align decisions and remove barriers.
• Translate field findings into updated engineering requirements and standards.
