Nationwide is seeking a Field Claims Specialist II, Property to work primarily from home with travel to policy locations in the Philadelphia, PA area. The role requires inspecting properties, handling moderate to severe claims, and providing extraordinary customer service.

You will be responsible for investigating, valuing, and settling claims while collaborating with SIU, Subrogation, and field teams. Overtime, CAT duties, and occasional overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of related property claims experience.
• Experience in a customer service environment with flexible work schedules and extended hours preferred.
• General knowledge of insurance theory and practices and property estimating.
• Proficient with Xactimate and related claims software; ability to write own estimates.
• Knowledge of local industry repair procedures and market pricing.

Responsabilités

• Investigate and resolve property damage claims by phone and in the field.Handle claims promptly and within delegated authority.
• Open/close/adjust reserves per company policy; maintain file documentation.
• Communicate clearly with policyholders, repair persons, and attorneys.
• Identify fraud/subrogation opportunities and coordinate with SIU and Subrogation teams.
• Support catastrophic claims events (CAT) and travel as required.
