Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Field Claims Specialist II, Property to work remotely with day travel to Columbia, SC and surrounding areas. You will investigate and resolve moderate to severe property claims by phone and in person, including rooftop inspections and travel as needed.

You will use Xactimate to write estimates, determine coverages, and manage files from start to finish while delivering exceptional customer service and coordinating with SIU/Subrogation as necessary.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of related property claims experience.
• Experience using Xactimate for residential property claims.
• Strong customer service and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve moderate to severe property claims by phone and in person.
• Open, adjust, and close claims with appropriate reserves.
• Determine coverage and apply claims practices per policy.
• Coordinate with SIU and Subrogation on fraud or recovery.
• Deliver outstanding service to policyholders and arrange site inspections.
