Job summary

RESA Power is seeking Field Techs to inspect, test, install and maintain high and medium voltage equipment across the United States. You will perform relay testing, start-up procedures and data collection for protective relaying systems, working on switchgear up to 500kV.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and knowledge of NETA/NEC/OSHA/NFPA standards. Expect travel, on-call rotations, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED with 1+ year in related field for Field Tech.
• Knowledge of NETA, NEC, OSHA, NFPA safety standards required.
• Ability to work safely and communicate clearly with customers and peers.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test and troubleshoot low to high voltage systems up to 500kV.
• Install, commission and maintain protective relaying equipment.
• Develop and document standard commissioning and maintenance procedures.
• Perform functional testing of substation control circuits.
• Create relay macros and testing routines for system protection.
• Rotate on-call duties and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Adhere to all regulatory electrical safety procedures.
