Job summary

Sunrun Kahului, HI is seeking a Field Performance Technician 3 to perform advanced troubleshooting and service diagnosis on residential solar systems. You will help train and develop other team members and ensure compliance with local electrical requirements.

The role requires a valid Journeyman license/electrician certification, 3+ years of field construction experience (1 year in solar), a high school diploma, and PV knowledge.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field construction experience required with at least 1 year as a service technician in the solar industry.
• High School diploma is required.
• PV design or PV electrical experience is preferred.
• Valid state or local Electrical Journeyman license or equivalent per local/state requirements (e.g., wireman license).

Responsibilities

• Organize, lead, and maintain the warranty and service schedule.
• Coordinate labor resources with Foreman and Branch Manager for service and warranty projects.
• Assist with training and development for Field Service Technicians and Field Communications Technicians.
• Lead regular meetings to train the local field service team on best practices.
• Support onboarding and training of new field performance team members.
• Exceed defined field performance KPIs including turnaround time and dispatches.
• Assist with inspections and site audits when assigned.
