Job summary

Selective Insurance is seeking a Senior AMS Manager to oversee assigned AMS territories, coaching and evaluating staff, and building strong agency partnerships within the region. You will monitor underwriting guidelines, drive regional financial goals, ensure service standards, and lead initiatives related to market share, product marketing, and agency appointments.

Travel within the territory is approximately 20–50%.

Qualifications

• College degree with 6 years of Commercial Underwriting, Agency Management and Marketing experience.
• 3 years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes profitable business through supervision, training, coaching, and monitoring AMS activities and goals.
• Monitors adherence to underwriting guidelines and provides feedback to AMS/Agent.
• Works with field operations to achieve budgeted regional financial goals.
• Establishes procedures to ensure service standards with AMS staff.
• Oversees workflows and productivity to ensure compliance with standards.
• Promotes technology to improve efficiency and service; travels within territory 20–50%.
