Job summary
Stantec is seeking a Geologist/Environmental Scientist/Environmental Engineer in Monrovia, CA to perform environmental assessments, surveys, hydrogeological studies, and subsurface investigations. You will sample soil, soil vapor, sediment, surface water and groundwater, oversee subcontractors, map geology, and prepare technical deliverables.
The role requires five+ years of experience, HSSE compliance, and strong technical writing.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience executing environmental projects.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in field and office.
- Proficient in HSSE policies and client-specific procedures.
- Strong technical writing and reporting skills.
- Ability to coordinate with regulators, clients and subcontractors.
Responsibilities
- Participate in soil, water and sediment assessments and mapping.
- Support Phase I/II ESAs, reports, and permitting documentation.
- Coordinate subcontractors and field activities; ensure QA/QC and safety.
- Prepare deliverables, work plans and budgets; assist with proposals.
- Oversee field sampling, drilling, logging and environmental monitoring tasks.
- Communicate findings with engineers, regulators and clients.
