Job summary

Stantec in California seeks a Geologist, Environmental Scientist, or Environmental Engineer to support environmental assessments, hazardous materials surveys, hydrogeological studies, subsurface investigations, remediation, and monitoring projects. Responsibilities include soil, soil vapor, sediment, surface water and groundwater sampling, field oversight of subcontractors, and map production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geoscience, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• California licensure or certification such as PG, GIT, PE, EIT preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist with soil, soil vapor, sediment, surface water and groundwater sampling.
• Oversee subcontractors and field activities.
• Prepare Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments and other deliverables.
• Develop health and safety plans and QA/QC procedures.
• Coordinate with engineers, regulators, and clients.
• Support proposal development and budgeting.
