Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Geologist, Environmental Scientist, or Environmental Engineer to lead field and office tasks on environmental projects in Los Angeles and Paramount, CA. The role covers Phase I/II ESAs, sampling, data interpretation, and reporting, with subcontractor oversight and safe field practices.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in geoscience or environmental fields, OSHA HAZWOPER 40, and 5–6 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Geoscience, Environmental Science, or related field and California licensure preferred.
OSHA HAZWOPER 40 certification is required.
Minimum 5–6 years executing technical environmental projects and strong MS Office and GIS skills.

Responsibilities

Participate in soil and environmental assessment projects from proposal to completion.
Prepare Phase I/II ESAs, sampling plans, H&S plans, and technical memoranda or reports.
Coordinate with subcontractors and manage field activities including soil, groundwater, and stormwater sampling.
Support permitting, QA/QC, and client deliverables with technical accuracy.
Assist with Brownfields projects and field supervision as needed.
