Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Environmental Scientist or Professional Geologist to join our team in the southeastern Pennsylvania area. You will perform environmental assessment and remediation tasks at sites with contamination and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary staff on large projects.

The role requires field and office work, travel may be required, and applicants should have a BS in Geology or Environmental Science with 8–12 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Geology or Environmental Science.
• 8-12 years of progressively responsible environmental assessment and remediation work experience.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER (OSHA Hazardous Worker) certification, 8-hour OSHA Supervisor, and current 8-hour refresher certification are favorable.
• Experience with Pennsylvania and New Jersey regulatory programs is preferred.
• Pre-employment physical is required.
• Background check, drug and alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Organize and coordinate a variety of environmental investigation and remediation tasks.
• Mix of office and field tasks including project execution, scheduling, compliance monitoring, data analysis/reduction, and reporting.
• Prepare site maps, soil boring logs, well construction diagrams, and groundwater models.
• Supervise field tasks including sampling, drilling oversight, and coordination with subcontractors.
• Adhere to health & safety training and company policies; provide support to multiple offices.
