Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Geologist, Environmental Scientist, or Environmental Engineer to perform environmental assessments, hydrogeological studies, and subsurface investigations. The role includes soil and groundwater sampling, field oversight, map production, and data interpretation for remediation and monitoring projects.

Responsibilities cover Phase I/II ESAs, sampling plans, health and safety plans, and coordination with subcontractors and laboratories.

Responsibilities

• Participate in soil, soil vapor, sediment, surface water, and groundwater assessments and mapping.
• Assist with environmental regulatory and permitting responsibilities and prepare permit applications.
• Prepare deliverables including Phase I and II ESAs, work plans, and health and safety plans.
• Coordinate field activities and oversee subcontractors in the field.
• Support proposals with scope, budgeting, and cost estimates.
• Ensure QA/QC and health & safety requirements throughout the project life cycle.
• Collaborate with engineers and planners on environmental assessments and monitoring.
• Conduct field visits, sampling, logging, and inspections, including complex field logistics.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and laboratories to complete field and lab work.
• Support Brownfields projects and prepare technical deliverables and client communications.
• Assist with drafting environmental reports and responses to regulatory comments.
