Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. seeks a Geologist, Environmental Scientist, or Environmental Engineer to perform environmental assessments, hazardous materials surveys, hydrogeology, and subsurface investigations across California projects.

You will collect samples, supervise subcontractors, log soils, interpret data, and prepare deliverables under project management guidance. The role requires five+ years in environmental projects, HSSE compliance, and strong technical writing.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Geoscience, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5-6 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
California licensure or certification preferred, or willingness to obtain as appropriate.

Responsibilities

Support environmental assessments, hazardous material surveys, hydrogeological studies, subsurface investigations, remediation, and monitoring projects.
Perform sampling of soil, soil vapor, sediment, surface water, and groundwater; oversee subcontractors.
Prepare Phase I and II ESAs, work plans, sampling and analysis plans, and health and safety plans.
Coordinate with subcontractors and laboratories; ensure QA/QC and HSSE compliance.
Assist with proposal development, budgeting, and task-level scoping.
Support field activities including site visits, GPS surveys, drilling oversight, and environmental logging.
Develop maps and figures from analytical data and topographic/site maps.
