Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Manager, Field Engineering to lead a team of Solutions Architects for the Financial Services segment of the Regulated Industries Field Engineering team. You will partner with Sales to scale revenue and ensure customer success using the Data + AI Platform.

You will hire, train, and grow a team, maintain a robust hiring pipeline, and foster external partnerships while ensuring your team stays at the leading edge of technology and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading technical pre-sales teams (hiring, onboarding, coaching, mentoring).
• 10+ years in data space with a technical product (data warehousing, big data, ML, or generative AI).
• Trusted advisor to technical executives guiding data infrastructure decisions.
• Leads best practices for technical qualification, validations, architecture, and demos.
• Builds external partnerships with SIs and ISVs to accelerate client success.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and grow a team of Solutions Architects for rapid growth.
• Make customers successful with Databricks and deliver outsized value.
• Maintain a robust hiring pipeline of qualified candidates.
• Establish relationships across the business to ensure customer and team success.
• Keep the SA team ahead of the curve with advanced knowledge of Databricks tech stack.
