Job summary

Clark Construction Group is seeking a Project Control Lead with extensive field engineering experience to establish and verify horizontal and vertical control, including column lines and benchmarks, across construction phases.

The role includes overseeing concrete quantity tracking, pour performance, and forecasting with variance analysis, while mentoring Field Engineers and Apprentices to uphold Clark's standards.

Qualifications

• Read and understand structural, architectural, and shop drawings.
• Provide layout from drawings without assistance.
• Coordinate between drawings and discern potential conflicts.
• Proficient in the use of scales.
• Layout footings, columns, and building lines with no assistance.
• Establish vertical dimensions from finish floor elevations.
• Compute concrete quantities for daily pours, slabs, columns.
• Conduct fine grading operations.
• Level deck with no assistance.
• Grade columns with no assistance.
• Establish secondary benchmarks and control.

Responsibilities

• Establish and verify primary and secondary horizontal and vertical control (column lines, benchmarks, offsets) across construction phases.
• Oversee and validate concrete quantity tracking, placement coordination, and pour performance, including forecasting and variance analysis.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Field Engineers and Apprentices, ensuring adherence to best practices and project standards.
• Proactively identify and resolve field engineering challenges, coordinating with project management, subcontractors, and survey teams.
• Support project planning through advanced layout strategies, constructability reviews, and risk mitigation.
