Job summary

Clark Construction Group is seeking a Project Engineer to join a project team responsible for all technical and engineering aspects of the project. You will coordinate daily with clients, trade partners, engineers, architects, and our workforce to plan, schedule, predict, and manage technical tasks throughout the project lifecycle.

This hands-on role requires reading drawings, developing schedules, cost control, and handling submittals, change proposals, and turnover documentation.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field (or relevant work experience).
• 2+ years experience as engineer, project engineer, or similar role in construction.
• Knowledge of scheduling, cost engineering, subcontract coordination, and general project administration.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest and passion for building and the industry.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers in purchasing, scoping, and take-offs.
• Prepare and forward submittals; ensure compliance with plans and specs.
• Support development and updating of project schedules and subcontractor schedules.
• Lead development of project plans.
• Monitor and expedite material deliveries per the schedule.
• Review change proposals from trade partners and negotiate as needed.
• Coordinate drawings with Project Manager and Superintendent.
• Draft change orders; solicit prices; perform scope take-offs and cost estimates.
• Lead project closeout; assemble manuals and turnover documents.
• Develop and lead training sessions for team and trade partners.
• Manage document control applications.
