Job summary

Clark Construction Group is seeking a Project Engineer to join the project team and oversee technical and engineering aspects throughout the project lifecycle. You will coordinate daily with clients, trade partners, engineers, architects, and our team to plan, schedule, predict, and manage all technical tasks for accuracy, resources, and quality.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related discipline; or relevant work experience.
• 2+ years experience as engineer, project engineer, or similar role in construction.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers in purchasing activities including scoping and take-offs.
• Prepare and forward submittals; ensure compliance with plans/specs.
• Support development and updating of project schedules and subcontractor detail schedules.
• Lead the development of project plans.
• Monitor and expedite material deliveries ensuring conformance with project schedule.
• Review change proposals from trade partners and negotiate as appropriate.
• Coordinate drawings with Project Manager and Superintendent.
• Draft change orders; solicit prices from subcontractors and suppliers; perform scope take-off and cost estimates.
• Lead project close-out; assemble manuals and warranties for turnover to owner and final payment documents.
• Develop and lead training sessions for your team and trade partners.
• Take ownership of document management applications.

Degree in engineering, architecture or construction management (undergraduate or graduate)
