Job summary

Worley is seeking a Senior Field Engineer to lead technical field efforts on major industrial construction projects. The role focuses on interpreting designs, guiding field execution, and ensuring safety and quality during construction, commissioning, and startup.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with construction, engineering, commissioning, quality, and project leadership, and drive practical solutions in a dynamic field environment to deliver projects successfully.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent with additional technical training and relevant industry experience.
• Typically 7+ years of relevant experience for degree-qualified candidates.
• Typically 12+ years of relevant experience for trade-qualified candidates.
• Demonstrated experience supporting industrial construction, commissioning, startup, operations, or major capital project execution.
• Strong knowledge in field engineering disciplines and construction execution.

Responsibilities

• Provide field engineering expertise during construction, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Interpret drawings, specs, and technical documentation for construction teams.
• Evaluate field conditions and recommend practical engineering solutions.
• Coordinate design changes and ensure field implementation aligns with project requirements.
• Support construction teams with technical problem solving and issue resolution.
• Review activities for compliance with engineering requirements, codes, and standards.
• Lead field inspections, walkdowns, and testing activities.
• Prepare technical reports and field recommendations.
