Job summary

Worley is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide expert support during the construction phase of energy, chemicals and resources projects. You will ensure designs are correctly interpreted, adapted to field conditions, and executed to high safety, quality and sustainability standards.

This role bridges engineering design and field execution, enabling projects to stay on schedule and within budget while coordinating with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive field experience in engineering support, construction supervision, or project execution in energy, chemicals, or resources.
• Strong knowledge of engineering codes, standards, and specifications.
• Ability to interpret and adapt designs for site conditions.
• Ability to make independent engineering decisions considering financial, environmental, social, and organizational impacts.
• Understanding of project management principles and how to integrate engineering input into project objectives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical reports, presentations and proposals.
• Proven leadership, including task assignment, guidance, and mentoring of teams.
• Proficiency with field engineering systems and digital tools; troubleshoot and support others.
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental excellence in line with Worley’s standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead field engineering activities during construction, guiding site supervisors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Interpret, review, and adjust designs to meet site conditions while complying with specs and standards.
• Approve completed construction work to ensure alignment with design intent, quality and safety objectives.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to integrate design and execution.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges with safe, cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare and present technical reports, recommendations, and progress updates to stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and field staff on best practices.
• Promote Worley’s values of safety, sustainability, and collaboration on site.
