Job summary

Accenture Construct seeks a seasoned Construction Manager to lead transit-project delivery onsite at client sites in Illinois. You will oversee safety, compliance, scheduling, budgeting and contract administration across multi-million-dollar programs.

You will review contractor performance, manage daily records and change orders, and coordinate with engineers, managers, and stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with strong QA and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or another related field.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in California.
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in Construction Management on transit projects of at least $30 million.
• Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience in the management of major, construction contracts of similar size and scope.
• Valid California Class C driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of Accenture and Client employees, state and contractor employees and the traveling public by observing operations, making recommendations and taking corrective action.
• Review contractor operations for CAL OSHA compliance.
• Maintain complete project records per regulations and laws.
• Confer with contractors on compliance with plans, quality of work, and construction activity.
• Perform field inspections to determine compliance with plans, specifications and requirements.
• Prepare reports and incorporate daily inspection reports to document contractor activities.
• Monitor project schedule and budget and report to executive leadership.
• Prepare contract change orders for alterations, deviations, additions, or deletions to plans and specifications.
• Review CPM schedules and mitigate project risks.
• Complete a daily project diary.
• Resolve contractor disputes in a timely manner.
• Ensure QA activities per Client QMP.
• Onsite work location at client site.
