Job summary

Nautilus Bio is seeking a Senior Product Support Engineer to install, support, and improve complex biotech instrumentation on-site and at customer facilities. This hands-on, customer-facing role spans engineering, manufacturing, and quality to maximize uptime and drive product improvements during early commercialization.

Responsibilities include on-site installation, diagnosing electromechanical issues, providing remote support, and documenting findings for design and DFS improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, biotechnology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience with complex instruments or capital equipment.
• Experience in biotech or analytical instrumentation preferred.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting of electromechanical and fluids systems.
• Knowledge of optical imaging, fluorescence imaging is a plus.
• Read/create schematics and technical documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and qualify instruments at customer sites.
• Diagnose hardware, software, fluidic, optical, and electromechanical issues.
• Perform maintenance to maintain system uptime.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support.
• Document issues and feed findings to Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality.
• Support beta, early access, and commercial customers.
• Contribute to DFS, reliability, and service improvements.
• Collaborate with Sales, Applications, and Product Management on feedback.
