Job summary

Teleport, the AI Infrastructure Identity Company, seeks a Senior Field Engineer to lead architectural design and hands-on Teleport deployments at major customers. You will triage technical issues, deliver customized training, and drive enterprise-wide adoption while collaborating with product and sales teams.

You will own customer relationships, communicate best practices, and help shape Teleport’s security-first approach across distributed clients.

Qualifications

BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or another related engineering field.
8+ years experience in customer-facing software onboarding, software services, solution architecting, or system administration roles.
Linux administration skills.
Hands-on experience with one of the major public cloud providers: AWS, GCP, Azure. Certifications are a plus.
Strong understanding of Kubernetes; CKAD/CKA is a plus.
Experience with security principles: SSH, PKI, 2FA, SSO (SAML, OIDC), RBAC.
Excellent troubleshooting, testing, and debugging skills.
Outstanding communication and project management abilities.
Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Design solution architecture for Teleport in a customer environment.
Deploy and configure Teleport in a customer environment and share implementation best practices.
Act as a point person for all technical issues, provide triage and troubleshooting, and escalate to engineering for complex cases.
Develop, maintain and deliver customized training; evangelize Telecomport solutions to the customer organization.
Plan and deliver Quarterly Business Review meetings and drive adoption across the customer organization.
Maintain relationships with key client stakeholders and expand activities across the organization.
Document customer goals and challenges to align Teleport value.
Serve as a SME on Teleport solutions for customers and other engineers.
Collaborate with Sales and Product to identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
Provide feedback for product improvements and support broader customer base.
