Job summary

Teleport, a remote-first, globally distributed company, seeks a Senior Field Engineer to implement, support, and expand Teleport across top customers. You will design solution architectures, deploy Teleport hands-on, and drive adoption with enterprise-wide rollout plans.

You will collaborate with customers to architect secure, scalable Teleport deployments, provide training, and relay product feedback to our team. Strong cloud, Kubernetes, and security experience required.

Qualifications

• BSc or Master in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in customer-facing software onboarding, services, solution architecture, or sysadmin roles.
• Linux administration experience.
• Hands-on with major cloud providers: AWS, GCP, Azure. Certifications a plus.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes; CKAs/CKADs a plus.
• Knowledge of SSH, PKI, 2FA, SSO (SAML, OIDC), RBAC.
• Excellent troubleshooting, testing, and debugging skills.
• Outstanding communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design Teleport solution architecture for customer environments.
• Deploy and configure Teleport at customer sites and share implementation best practices.
• Provide triage, troubleshooting, and escalate to engineering for complex cases.
• Develop, maintain, and deliver customized training; evangelize Teleport.
• Plan business review meetings; drive adoption and enterprise-wide rollout.
• Maintain relationships with client stakeholders and expand across the org.
• Document customer goals and align Teleport to maximize value.
• Serve as SME on Teleport solutions and stay updated on offerings.
• Collaborate with Sales and Product for customer needs and feedback.
• Support Teleport customer base with new solutions and best practices.
