Job summary

ICON Technology is seeking a Field Engineering Technician III to independently commission, troubleshoot, and maintain 3D printers and related systems in Miami, FL. This role requires advanced mechanical and electrical knowledge, including PLCs, VFDs, and cabling, with travel outside the area for extended durations.

You will mentor Field Engineering Technician I staff, lead complex tasks, and ensure safe, compliant operations while documenting all activities and ensuring clear handoffs between

Qualifications

• Read wiring diagrams and terminate cables
• Advanced troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical and control systems
• Proficiency with PLCs and VFDs in print/print-related systems
• Strong communication and documenting steps clearly
• Mentor junior technicians and ensure safe, compliant operations

Responsibilities

• Commission, troubleshoot, and maintain ICON's 3D printers and related systems with minimal supervision.
• Connect and disconnect electrical, pneumatic, and network cabling to facilitate printer mobility.
• Independently resolve electrical, mechanical, and software issues with advanced troubleshooting skills.
• Perform preventive maintenance and monitor printer performance to reduce downtime.
• Analyze printer data to foresee issues and address them proactively.
• Lead complex tasks with safety, efficiency, and compliance in mind.
• Document troubleshooting steps, repairs, and handoffs in ICON's ticketing system.
• Build relationships with operators and cross-functional teams for project execution.
• Train and mentor Field Engineering Technician I employees.
• Follow SOPs and team instructions with a disciplined approach.
• Willingness to travel outside Miami for extended periods.
• Flexible to work nights and weekends as needed.
