Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. is hiring Sr. Field Data Technicians for outdoor data collection on electric utility and telecom projects. The role requires hiking between spans, overnight travel (1–2 weeks, some longer), and data capture for engineering design.

You will collect measurements, submit project maps, notes, and photos while supervising crews on select jobs. Training is provided as needed, and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical background preferred.
• Basic knowledge of telecommunications and/or electrical distribution systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of pole design including NESC requirements and general safety practices is a plus.
• Able to physically perform outdoor, demanding work including lifting 15–20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Work outdoors collecting field data to support engineering and design of fiber optic facilities.
• Submit organized data for each project, including maps, field notes, and digital images.
• Maintain professional appearance and good public relations with customers and the public.
• Lead and supervise a crew on select projects with up to ten employees.
• Manage daily work to meet safety, quality, and production goals.
• Operate vehicles and transport material and crew to job sites.
• Record timekeeping, payroll, and work performed accurately.
• Promote safety through daily briefings and adherence to safety programs.
