Job summary

Kiewit Corporation, a leading heavy civil construction company, seeks a Senior Construction Manager to direct large-scale projects in the South Central District. The role focuses on field leadership, cost control, scheduling and coordination with clients, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.

You will oversee project teams, enforce safety and quality standards, and mentor junior engineers while maintaining strong client relations and adherence

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related experience in construction
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Advanced knowledge of construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, and drawings
• Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision
• Strong leadership, planning, and negotiation skills
• Ability to access all areas on a construction project site

Responsibilities

• Direct project teams and ensure scope, schedule and budget are defined and understood
• Establish project procedures and oversee controls, schedules and budgets
• Represent project with clients, subcontractors, and vendors in meetings and correspondence
• Coordinate training and compliance measures for project procedures
• Identify and secure approvals for changes in scope, budget or schedule
• Maintain client communication and adjust deliverables to meet client needs and Kiewit requirements
• Ensure work products comply with industry standards and codes
• Provide training and mentoring to engineers to promote development
• Track and budget progress to project milestones
