Kiewit’s South Central District seeks a Senior Project Manager for heavy civil transportation projects. The role is field-heavy (80–90% in the field) and responsible for directing work, meeting goals, and driving financial outcomes while coordinating with clients, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors.

The position requires 10+ years in construction and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Strong leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Direct project teams to meet goals within scope, schedule and budget.
• Establish procedures and oversee project controls and budgets.
• Act as project representative with client, constructors, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Coordinate training and compliance measures.
• Manage scope changes and approvals.
• Maintain client communications and adjust deliverables as needed.
• Ensure work products meet standards and codes.
• Provide training and mentoring to engineers.
• Track progress against milestones using engineering fundamentals.
