Job summary

Samet Corporation seeks a Senior Superintendent to lead field operations on assigned projects. You will direct all construction activities, manage multiple trades, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with a strong safety culture.

You will set expectations, conduct site inspections, review drawings and contracts, and lead safety meetings while coordinating with project management and AHJs to achieve high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
• 7–10 years of construction experience, including 3–5 years in supervisory roles.
• Experience with commercial, institutional, or industrial construction.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing diverse teams and subcontractors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with all stakeholders.
• Strong presentation and meeting facilitation skills.
• Conflict resolution and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all construction activities on assigned projects.
• Coordinate work schedules and sequences among multiple trades and subcontractors.
• Monitor project progress and maintain construction schedules.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality and compliance.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Implement and enforce all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Investigate incidents and maintain safety documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and permit requirements.
• Maintain clean and organized job sites.
• Communicate clearly with direct reports on performance expectations and development goals.
• Maintain strong communication with contractors and suppliers to support the schedule.
• Oversee punch lists through project closeout.
• Meet with AHJs and third-party inspectors to facilitate inspections.
• Review subcontractor performance to meet deadlines.
• Lead the field team in quality initiatives and inspections.
• Maintain site cleanliness and curb appeal.
• Assist in updating the project PMP as required.
• Work with Project Manager to develop/manage subcontractor scopes of work.
• Develop the baseline schedule and own the CPM schedule and updates.
• Lead weekly coordination and pre-install meetings to keep construction moving.
