Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States is seeking an Inspector for our CEI team to conduct complex construction inspections across project sites in several states. This on-site field role provides hands-on experience and the opportunity to directly influence project success.

Inspector candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and about 6 years of related experience; travel (domestic and/or international) may be required and is contingent on duties and workload.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certifications from a State Highway Agency or NICET in earthwork, asphalt, and concrete if required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• 6 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and routine inspections of construction to evaluate materials and processes.
• Use higher grade equipment and perform complex calculations for inspections.
• Work under supervision depending on assignment.
• Review drawings to prepare for inspection.
• Document inspection results and communicate findings to supervisor.
