Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an on-site Field Inspector to support highway construction projects across multiple locations. You will perform inspections of traffic control, environmental controls, layout, construction methods and materials under direct supervision.

The role requires reading plans, basic math, and proficiency with Office tools; a valid driver's license and 2 years of related experience are required, with travel up to 40% and potential certifications such as ACI or NICET.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of related experience required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect traffic control, environmental controls, layout, construction methods and materials under direct supervision.
• Review contractor daily reports and QC procedures for conformance with the Quality Control Plan.
• Possibly sample and test materials (soil, aggregate, concrete, asphalt) as needed.
