Renesas Electronics in San Jose, CA, seeks a Senior Field Applications Engineer to support datacenter, AI, server and advanced computing markets. You will work with customers on power architecture, VR controllers, and server power delivery, from design through production.

The role requires hands-on bench work, debugging, and strong collaboration with internal teams. You will perform simulations in SIMPLIS, validate multiphase power solutions, and drive issue resolution to secure design wins.

Qualifications

• Power electronics experience and voltage regulator validation.
• Hands-on bench testing and debug expertise.
• Strong communication with engineers and customers.
• Experience supporting customer technical issues through structured debug.

Responsibilities

• Support customer accounts with power architecture and VR engagements from design through production.
• Guide digital multiphase power controllers and server power delivery solutions; perform reviews and bring-up support.
• Lead VR simulations and validation for datacenter/AI platforms.
• Diagnose complex electrical issues with lab equipment and drive root-cause analysis.
• Manage multiple customer engagements and milestones with attention to detail.
• Collaborate across teams to enable design wins and mitigate risks.
