Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corporation in the San Jose area seeks a Senior Field Applications Engineer to support datacenter, AI, server, and advanced computing markets. This role focuses on power architecture, board level debug, and customer-facing technical execution.

You will perform VR simulations, multiphase power validation, schematic and layout reviews, and issue resolution with internal teams and customers.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in power electronics, voltage regulator validation, power applications, or system level power architecture.
• Hands-on bench testing experience and debug methodologies.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, electronic loads, current probes, network analyzers, and soldering tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and engineers.
• Ability to manage multiple technical activities with urgency and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key technical interface for customer accounts from design phase through production.
• Provide guidance on digital multiphase power controllers, power modules, and server power delivery solutions.
• Support schematic reviews, layout reviews, board bring up, debug, and validation activities.
• Generate customer-facing technical materials including validation reports and configuration files.
• Assist customers during system validation, including VR performance, telemetry, and power domain interactions.
