Job summary

ABB is seeking a Sr. Field Application Engineer to lead technical consulting for the Electrification business in Eastern PA and DE. You will partner with the sales team to ensure ABB products meet project specifications and become preferred suppliers.

You will apply MV/LV switchgear, switchboards, transformers and arc flash mitigation, supporting healthcare, data centers, industrials and utilities. This hybrid role requires 10–15% travel in the local area.

Qualifications

• Requires a B.S. in engineering with 8+ years in electrical distribution or an advanced degree with 4+ years.
• PE certification preferred.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Define electrical project needs with consultant and end users; provide design education on ABB solutions.
• Serve as local expert on MV/LV switchgear, switchboards, transformers and power protection.
• Illustrate short circuit, coordination and arc flash concepts to customers using tools.
