Job summary

gFiber seeks an Operations Lead to ensure reliable, efficient network operations across its nationwide fiber platform. You will guide planning, maintenance, and cross-functional initiatives while leading an expanding operations team.

The role requires a decade of fiber network and people/vendor management, plus strong budgeting, forecasting, and project leadership as GFiber scales deployments and customer connections.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience with fiber network management and/or deployments.
• 10 years of people and vendor management experience.
• Experience in operational improvement and process/workflow development as well as managing complex cross-functional projects.
• Established track record in budgeting, forecasting costs, project reporting, network capacity planning, quality assurance, network equipment turn-up, testing and acceptance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning and execution of complex and sometimes competing tasks that support ongoing network operations.
• Develop and grow a talented Operations Team.
• Maintain GFiber infrastructure in the market(s) on an ongoing basis; support new acceptance of active network equipment/electronics, execute Last Mile programs to support GFiber growth.
• Implement a repair and maintenance program to fulfill internal service requirements, including non-standard hours and New Plant Testing and Acceptance.
• Establish and manage positive vendor relationships through effective negotiations and communication.
