Job summary

gFiber is seeking a Technical Operations Manager for OSP Construction. You will lead day-to-day operations, overseeing pre-construction planning, execution, sequencing, and splicing/testing for turnover of the OSP FTTH network.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project pipelines, budgets, and schedules, and ensure milestones align with commitments while driving vendor performance and risk mitigation. This role requires a bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of PM/VM experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of Program/Project Management experience within large scope, capital intensive, technical scopes of work.
• 4 years of Vendor Management experience directly managing vendor resources and performance.
• 4 years experience scheduling projects, capital tracking/forecasting, reporting status vs commitments.
• Experience managing capital, operational and technical programs.

Responsibilities

• Quality Management - ensure projects are built according to approved design plans and standards, with transparent change management when deviations occur.
• Project Management - manage pipelines, budgets, scheduling, resources, sequencing, vendor performance, financial reporting, and material management.
• Vendor Management - develop and drive vendor construction schedules, align milestones with business commitments, mitigate risks.
• Communicate expectations and status effectively with internal and external stakeholders for proper scoping and handoffs.
• Work autonomously with minimal guidance; stand up new programs in new geographic areas with limited onsite support.
• Convert conceptual deliverables into concrete action steps and assign roles to supporting teams.
