Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services seeks experienced Senior Superintendents to lead day-to-day field operations on large-scale long-haul fiber installation projects across North America.

As a Senior Superintendent you will develop project plans, monitor performance, mentor staff, and ensure work meets plans, specs, and safety standards. This role involves traveling to multiple sites and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Telecommunications construction as a Superintendent.
• Knowledge of underground fiber installation using boring and plow equipment.
• Effective Communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractors.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Will ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes
• Leads the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversees incident investigations
• Reviews and updates construction schedules, addresses delays, and contributes to project schedules
• Estimates activity durations and materials for complex projects
• Working knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project
• Participates in subcontractor, supplier selection, procurement and negotiations
• Will set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team
• Provides leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents
