Job summary

Connection in Washington DC is seeking a Senior Solution Sales Executive to drive federal opportunities and expand business across Civilian and DoD accounts. The role reports to the Sr Director of Solution Sales and focuses on complex, multi‑stakeholder engagements across server, storage, cloud, virtualization, cybersecurity, and professional services.

The ideal candidate has prior Federal experience, is comfortable navigating FedRAMP, CMMC, NDAA, and supply chain security requirements, and can

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Federal customers with knowledge of FedRAMP, CMMC, NDAA & Supply Chain Security, and TAA compliance.
• Advanced technical knowledge of IT and OEM vendors.
• Knowledgeable on datacenter tech including networking, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud and Connection services.
• Demonstrated IT sales experience with business development and meeting/exceeding sales goals.
• Ability to qualify deals and manage time to maximize effectiveness and win rates.

Responsibilities

• Independently manages multi-step sales cycles across Federal accounts.
• Diagnoses customer needs, links solutions to business problems, and adapts positioning by stakeholder.
• Leads pricing, objection handling, negotiation, and close planning independently.
• Produces strong proposals, follow-ups, executive summaries, business cases, and internal deal updates.
• Leads discovery calls, demos, presentations, and customer meetings with confidence and structure.
• Maintains accurate pipeline, next steps, close dates, and deal risks.
• Operates independently and coordinates internal resources effectively.
