Job summary

Cloudflare, based in Washington, DC, is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for the Public Sector Federal team. You will be the technical lynchpin through the sales cycle, educating and empowering federal prospects to adopt Cloudflare’s platform.

You will work across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Support to craft best-fit security and networking solutions. You’ll need strong knowledge of on-prem and cloud security concepts, RESTful APIs, and networking fundamentals.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years in a customer-facing role supporting the US Federal Government.
• Strong knowledge of internet technologies: OSI layers, DNS, HTTP(S), TLS.
• Experience with on-premises infrastructure and cloud security concepts.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions and demonstrations with prospects.
• Identify requirements and design solutions with PoCs.
• Advise on best practices and product deployments for existing customers.
• Travel 35–45% to meet prospects, attend conferences and collaborate with Cloudflare teammates.
