Job summary

Accura Engineering in Richmond, KY is seeking a Project Engineer to provide construction project engineering services, including project observation, quality assurance, contract administration, and reporting to government personnel.

You will support construction delivery by implementing government decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policies and assisting with submittal reviews, cost estimates, and contract modifications.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Minimum seven years in construction project engineering or management.
• Experience with USACE/DoD or federal programs preferred.
• Familiarity with local permitting utilities and construction methods.
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, contract administration and safety requirements.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, submittals, schedules and cost data.
• Ability to monitor progress and manage change proposals and closeout.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction, contract administration and QA activities per contract.
• Monitor projects via field surveillance and prepare daily progress reports.
• Review design, codes, specifications and provide engineering advice.
• Evaluate payment requests and schedule impacts; identify delays.
• Review QC/Safety plans and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Submit QARs within 24 hours of inspection and track deficiencies.
• Prepare change proposals and government time/cost estimates.
